50-thousand Virginians either didn't vote for president or their votes were NOT counted. Nonvoters made up about 2 percent of the nearly 3-million ballots. Election officials say there may have been machine errors, but most likely people had no enthusiasm for any of the candidates.

While the political spotlight has been shining on Florida-- Virginia has it's own vote count issues...

The number of "nonvoters" makes up about 2 percent of the nearly 3-million ballots cast in Virginia. Election officials say there may have been machine errors, but most likely people were just expressing their lack of enthusiasm for any of the candidates. Elections Secretary Cameron Quinn is asking registrars across the state to send her totals of these nonvotes in response to questions about the ballot.
