After 2 months of testing, lab results are now being released ... on the mouse a Roanoke family says it found inside a box of K-F-C chicken.

J-R-N Incorporated the company that owns the K-F-C on Melrose says the lab results support what it has said all along -- that the mouse did not come from their restaurant.

J-R-N says it received the results late Friday night.
It says both analytical and forensic tests were done on the mouse, the chicken, and the breading used that night.
But the Cummings say according to the lab report the received today the test results seem inconclusive.
And they say it's unfair the that J-R-N not only picked the lab, but paid for the test, and got the result first.

J-R-N Incorporated says lab tests reveal that the mouse died shortly before being breaded and cooked by an "undetermined process".
But the company says the conclusive proof is in the breading. Two samples of breading used on the night the Cummings purchased the chicken were sent to the lab.

Lynchburg's college community is still reeling from the deaths of two students who were killed by a train over the weekend.

It happened Saturday on the trestle over the James River between Lynchburg and Amherst County.
18- year- old Sarah Corvington and 19- year- old Conrad Frazier died after being hit by a northbound freight train.
A third student, 18- year- old Esther Coker, was saved after she jumped to a ledge just below the tracks.
Frazier was a student at Hampden- Sydney College.. Corvington and Coker attended Randolph Macon Woman's College.
Counselors there are helping students cope with the tragedy.

Autopsy results on a man's body found at Lincoln Terrace late Saturday night are expected back this afternoon.
A police spokesperson says there was blood found at the scene, but a cause of death has not yet been determined.
Roanoke Police say the unidentified man was found at a vacant apartment that is undergoing renovations.

When emergency crews arrived at Pino's Pizza on Westover Drive, the entire building was on fire.
Before firefighters could control the flames, the roof collapsed.
The Fire alarm sounded around 12-30 this morning, but the fire chief says the restaurant may have been burning for a while before anyone noticed.
There were no injuries.

Forecasters say it's already snowing more than an inch an hour.
They expect up to a foot of snow before the storm is over.

are likely to cause delays across the country.

Authorities say more than 50 people had to go to the hospital.

A West Virginia couple is scheduled for arraignment today ... after their 10 month old child apparently drowned in a Franklin County bathtub.
The sheriff's department tells us the child was found in the bathtub Saturday morning at a condomnium where the couple was staying.
The child's mother, 27-year-old Kimberly Dawn Jenkins, is being held at the Roanoke City Jail.
Her boyfriend, 35-year-old John Andrew Ratliffe, is being held in Franklin County.
Both are accused of felony child neglect.

Former Philippine First Lady Imelda Marcos is said to be doing fine after brain surgery to remove a blood clot.

The operation to remove the clot was said to be a success.
Marcos has a history of heart and blood pressure problems.
The 71- year- old widow of late Philippine President Ferdinand Marcos has been considering a run for Mayor of Manila in next year's elections.
Ferdinand Marcos led the Philippines until he was ousted in 1986.
He died three years later.

For a few days, a camera was allowed to follow Prince William on his
ten-week expedition in the back hills of Chile. In this extraordinary
footage, the future king comes across as a modest and manly
18-year-old, with a sense of humor.

He and fifteen other volunteers have been doing community work in the
isolated village of Tortel repairing the wooden walkways and
refurbishing the radio station. It's hard work and it took William a
while to get the hang of it.

The prince shared chores with the fifteen other volunteers .. some of
whom were homeless or on drugs back in Britain. According to the others,
William quickly fit in with the group. No one used his title.

Like his mother, the late Princess of Wales, he is a natural with
youngsters. Here, he uses games to teach English to 10 and 11-year-olds
in the local school.

stand him in good stead when he finishes his education and becomes a
public figure.
