((It was for 6 months, he dragged me into something I didn't want to be involved. Watkins may have sounded more like an ideal witness for prosecutors...but it was the Defense who called him to the stand. Attorney David Rudolph struggled to convinced jurors that Watkins shot Adams after Carruth reneged on bankrolling a drug deal. The defense laid out Watkins' history of dealing drug as well as his violent criminal past. DEFENSE ATTORNEY: Like how you held a meat clever to somebody's face or how you shot some by stander in the face. The defense also made it clear, that Watkins cut a deal with Prosecutors to avoid the death penalty. But no matter how the Rudolph angled his defense, the triggreman always pointed the finger back at Rae Carruth. --:Defense Attorney Rudlolph: 2 weeks after you caused that, I hope the bitch dies, did you say that? Watkins: That's the bitch I was talking about (pointing at carruth). Rae Carruth, I'm referring to him who got me in this. He didn't stand up. I stood up for mine I said I did it because he made me do it. (points at Carruth)--that's your client. ; And it is still not clear if that client ....Rae Carruth the former Carolina Panther will testify in his own defense. JJ CBS News Charlotte.))

This twin-engine King Air crashed shortly after take- off from the Lynchburg airport on November 24th.
The plane was being test- flown by a pilot and mechanic from Virginia Aviation...both escaped injury.
Company owner Stewart Hobbs said today the plane was equipped with a sensor that tells the engines to reverse thrust on landing.
Hobbs says it appears that sensor failed shortly after take- off and the propellers went into a "flat pitch", forcing the plane to drop from the sky.
Hobbs expects the F-A-A to issue an "airworthiness directive" instructing other plane owners to deactivate those sensors if they have them.
