A tanker truck carrying gasoline crashed into a milk truck around 6 a-m causing the closure.
Crates of milk and diesel fuel from both trucks spilled across both lanes.
State Police say the accident happened when the driver of the milk truck attempted to turn into the Moose Lodge.

Police say John Adam Hudson of Roanoke was charged with passing off a fake one-hundred dollar bill at a local Walgreens.
Hudson was arrested at another Walgreens where he was again trying to pass another counterfeit bill.
Police say Hudson admitted to using the bogus bills at various other stores in the city... He also reportedly led police to the Ecstasy find in the county.

The drugs were confiscated from a Roanoke County residence, after police chased a man and woman from the home.
No one has been arrested in connection with the ecstasy bust, but the investigation is ongoing.

A death row inmate pardoned by Governor Gilmore will stay in prison a little while longer.

Earl Washington was pardoned after D-N-A evidence cleared him of rape and murder.
But Governor Gilmore left it up to the parole board to determine whether Washington should be released from prison immediately.
The board yesterday denied Washington early release from a 30- year sentence for a malicious wounding conviction in 1983.
Washington's mandatory release date is February 12th.

U-S Airways and United Airlines have set a new deadline for their proposed merger.

The airlines had been hoping for a ruling by the middle of next month.
The move comes two days after a General Accounting Officer report found if the merger went through, the new airline would be extremely dominant - carrying a quarter of the nation's paying air customers.
Both airlines currently serve the Roanoke Regional Airport.
