The search is on for a suspected murderer- the Roanoke man is accused of opening fire at a roanoke Car car shop- killing one person and wounding another.

Police are trying to track down 29-year old Earl Allen Hale- They say he's the man who opened fire outside Hot Rods Car Care on 7th street.

Police say the suspect used to date Charlene Ramsey and they believe the shooting was the result of a dispute between the two. Police say just days before the shooting-- the victim called to report that Hale was trespassing on her property. Hale is also suspected of painting racial slurs on Ramsey's car.

Firefighters are trying to figure out what caused a deadly blaze in Delaware- Eleven people were killed- all members of the same family.

To help him make those moves..he invited some of the countries most powerful business leaders to meet him in Austin, Texas. And Bush also got some help today from the Federal Reserve. It cut interest rates by a half a point...that in turn helped boost the stock the market. I am pleased the Fed cut rates. I think it is a strong statement that measures must be taken to make sure the economy doesnt go into a tailspin)
General Electric Chairman Jack Welch echoed the president elect's support of the Fed's action. Sot: Welch. Other measures were discussed to help prop up a possible slowing of the economy. Mr. Bush they must include his proposed 1.3 trillion dollar tax cut- a key part of his campaign for the White House.
