Federal Agents and Roanoke Police are trying to identify what exploded underneath a car last night.

The car was parked along sixth street in southeast Roanoke.
The owner tells police she heard some kind of explosion around 3-30 AM ... but didn't see any damage and went back to sleep.
She took another look around 10 .. and that's when she could see the damage.
Federal Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms agents are now leading the investigation.

At least nine people are dead after a passenger bus plunged over a 650 foot cliff.

The bus was traveling from the Bosnian capital when it slipped off the road.
Authorities aren't sure how many people were on the bus, but at least 18 people were injured and taken to a nearby hospital.

Bedford County authorities are dreding a pond in the Thaxton area tonight.
Deputies are searching the property of a on Cool Springs Road.
They believe the body of a man reported missing back in April may be there.
James Walker lived on the property with the owner.
Last Friday, an inmate at the Blue Ridge Regional jail contacted the Sheriff's office saying he knew what happened to Walker.
The inmate said the property owner told him Walker was killed and placed in the pond.
The informant passed a polygraph.
Deputies started early this morning, but have not found anything yet.
They've searched about three-quarters of the pond.
No one has been charged in the case.
