Before 59-year-old Carl Carden was stopped, police say he had rammed one motorist, hit two police cars and almost run down some people leaving a night club.
Authorities tried twice to deflate his tires to slow him down.
Carden's car finally ended up in a ditch. Police had to break the glass in it to get him out.
Carden is in the Montgomery County jail, on charges of attempted murder of a law enforcement officer.
