The Navy says it wants to learn why the U-S submarine surfaced directly underneath a Japanese ship.

Navy officials say the submarine's commander, executive officer and officer of the deck have been

They gathered at Cave Spring United Methodist Church in Roanoke County to take part in Girl Scout World Thinking Day.
The goal of this morning's exercise was to teach the girls to appreciate different cultures by showing them how people live in other parts of the world.
More than 150- Girl Scouts between the ages of five and 17 were expected to take part in today's event.
