And it will probably take at least a week to finish emergency repairs.

One lane was reopened this morning, and traffic is now moving- in that area.
Crews spent the day replacing damaged sections of guard rail along a half mile stretch of the interstate.
Others worked to contain the estimated 800 to 1000 gallons of diesel fuel that spilled in the accident.

When the cars and trucks piled up Thursday morning, several caught fire. The heat damaged the concrete surface of the bridge and it will have to be replaced.

An 18 year old from Thaxton was killed tonight in an accident.
State Police say James Edward Brown was driving down route 691 in Bedford County when he ran off the road, down an embankment, and hit a tree. Brown was thrown from the vehicle and died at the scene. Troopers say he was not wearing a seat belt.

Judge Colin Gibb denied a motion by the defense to move the trial.
The Defense attorney said selection was proving too difficult.

They will decide whether Thomas is guilty of killing Radford teenager Tara Munsey last year.

A freezer manufacturer is leaving it's home in Albemarle County cold - and warming up to a new place in Nelson County.
International Cold Storage Company is set to move from Albemarle to Nelson and invest more than three million dollars in a new facility.

Governor Gilmore approved a 150 thousand dollar grant to assist Nelson County with site preparation.
