Rescue crews are on the scene of a head-on collision that has slowed traffic on Peters Creek Road in Roanoke County.

Witnesses say a blue car traveling at a high rate of speed lost control, crossed the median and collided head on with a black car.
The driver in the blue car was trapped inside the vehicle and crews had to use the jaws of life to get the driver out.
Both drivers were taken to Roanoke Memorial Hospital.
No word on their conditions.
One west bound lane of Peters Creek is closed at this time.

So he began to volunteer his time for the Rescue Mission in Roanoke. Before long Miller became an integral part of the mission by finding volunteers and businesses to donate their time and money to special projects. Over the last eight years Miller has overseen projects like the Thrift Store and the new addition to the Rescue Mission - which includes a new kitchen, eating area, and chapel.
But his latest project involved getting his hands dirty to renovate this 1-hundred year old home. Miller says finding and organizing hundreds of volunteers to do the work is really a piece of cake.
