(( In a tragic scene that has become all too familiar, police allege that this young gunman took aim at schoolmates at Santana High School near San Diego. Emergency crews answered the calls for help, but not before 2 students were killed and 13 more injured. Witness "Didnt think it was real until I saw blood" Heavily armed police combed the campus for the shooter, unsure of just what they were up against until this officer cornered the unidentified teenage gunman in a boys' restroom. Police Officer: "Laying down with gun near hands" The lone gunman used a .22 caliber handgun to wreak havoc, stopping once to reload and apparently selecting his victims at random. Just 15 years old, classmates described him as the subject of constant harassment. Fellow students and an adult acquaintance said they had heard the boy's threats of violence over the weekend but thought he was joking and did not report him to authorities. hris Reynolds "He said he was only joking"
After the shooting, students were escorted to a nearby shopping center, where they filled the parking lot and waited for anxious parents to arrive. The attack was the nation's deadliest school shooting since the April 1999 bloodbath at Columbine High in Littleton, Colorado. Officals say the accused gunman will be charged as an adult with murder, assault with a deadly weapon and gun possession.))

The big question across the Northeast today- Where's all the snow?
(------------)
[VO-NAT]
[SUPER=03-New York, NY;]

The powerful snowstorm predicted... never hit... quite as many expected.
Meteorologists say the weather system failed to organize itself as dramatically as it could have.
That means New York City and other coastal areas could escape with only three to six inches of snow overnight.
Still airports closed from Boston to Philadelphia-
About a foot fell in upstate New York and Northeastern Pennsyvlania... But they were expecting twice that amount there with high wind-
Some say the storm forecast as the worst in half a century.. may not even end up as the worst in half a year.
