Tomorrow, residents of Clifton Forgehead to the polls to answer a question that could change the city's future. Voters will decide whether to maintain city status or revert to a town. Kate Weidaw talked with Clifton Forge residents to see what they think.

This weekend's military crash in Georgia claimed the life of a Blacksburg native. Sources close to the family say Staff Sergeant Greg (Skir-pee) Skurupey is among the victims. Skurupey is a Blacksburg native... who had moved to Gloucester in Eastern Virginia where he was married with two children. He would have been 35 yesterday--

Skurupey and 17 - other Virginia National Guard airmen were killed Saturday when their plane crashed near Macon, Georgia.

It happened around seven o'clock last night on the 69- hundred block of Thirlane road. The house sustained heavy fire, smoke and water damage. Officials say the blaze was caused by wood too close to a woodstove flue in the attic. There were NO injuries.

A head-on collision in Roanoke County sent two people to the hospital.

Authorities say 51-year-old James Fletcher the Third of Roanoke was traveling NORTHbound in the SOUTHbound lane of Peters Creek Road yesterday when he struck another vehicle. A county officer says he spotted Fletcher's Buick going in the wrong direction and followed him for a little over a mile BEFORE the collision. Police are not yet releasing the name of the other driver involved in the accident. Both drivers were taken to Roanoke Memorial. Authorities say their injuries do NOT appear to be life-threatening. Charges are pending.

State police say a Vinton woman escaped with minor injuries after driving off a Bedford County road last night. Police say it was around 8-20 when Juanita Rose Moore ran off the right side of Route 24, struck a highway sign and ran into several trees.
Her vehicle landed on its top.

Resident will head to the polls tomorrow to vote on whether or not Clifton Forge should revert to town status.
