Forensic scientist Patricia Taylor says Thomas' sperm was found on the Radford teenagers thigh. She told jurors today that his saliva was also on a cigarette butt near Munsey's body and his cells found under her fingernails and on her clothes matched his D-N-A.
On cross examination Taylor told defense attorney Mike Barbour that at least one other person's D-N-A was found on Munsey's body and clothes.
Barbour says that could mean samples were contaminated.
Two days of scientific testimony have been difficult for Munsey's family.

(( Dick Cheney spent less than 24 hours at a Washington hospital. Doctors fixed a damaged artery that started to close up three months after his surgery to unblock it.

SOT: "HOW ARE YOU FEELING?" "Good."

Political Washington is responding to the Vice President's release with much relief.

SOT Bush: "He's needed. This country needs his wisdom and judgment. And

he's the kind of man who listens carefully to his body and he is not going to put himself in a position where he gets very sick."

SOT: Sen. Trent Lott/R-Majority Leader: "I'm just glad he keeps an eye

out for any feeling of a problem, because he's doing a good job and we really need him."
The White House was quick to reassure the public that this was not a heart attack, adding in a statement (GRAPHIC) that this was a common procedure and not a progression of his heart disease.

Cheney's doctors feel confident the Vice President will be able to stay on the job, and haven't placed any work restrictions on him... good news because he's got a lot of work ahead.

SOT: Stuart Rothenberg/Political Analyst: "His absence at this time is

critical, because the Bush's agenda's coming to the Hill, he's got tax cuts, education, the President's going to have to finesse John McCain on campaign finance reform, and so you need Cheney there NOW!"
