Dale Jarrett, who started on the pole, was running a strong second right behind Gordon.
Dave Blaney in car number 93 would have a strong run he passes Gordon putting him a lap down and taking the lead with 157 to go.
Kevin Harvick was the top rookie in the field he was running seventh with 147 laps to go.
Then the fourth caution came out on lap 206 but with just over 50 laps to go Matt Kenseth hits the turn 4 wall the car catches fire and drifts to the grass bringing out the fifth caution of the day.
But Harvick would run up front with the big boys and he takes the checkered flag by a nose ahead of Gordon, the same finish from last year when Dale Earnhardt slide by Bobby Labonte.
