((A violent end to a hijacking, when Saudi Arabia's special
forces...stormed a Russian plane to free more than a hundred hostages.
There were casualties on all sides..a hijacker, a passenger and a flight
attendant, though she may have been killed by the hijackers themselves.
The hostage takers were Chechen militants, demanding an end to Russian
rule in their territory. They took over the plane after it left Turkey,
diverting it from Moscow, to the holy city of Medina, in Saudi Arabia.
The hijackers had released many of the passengers, in stages.
But Russian President Vladimir Putin, rushing back from a holiday to
handle the crisis, approved storming the plane.
Some experts believe is could have been handled differently.

A former Chechen government minister, Aslambik Artsayev, has been
identified as one of the attackers. His mother says he, along with his
uncle and nephew, planned this to highlight the Chechen plight and to
prove that, whatever Moscow says, the battle for Chechnya is far from
over. Kimberly Dozier...CBS News London.))

A member of N-R-V Care, an animals rights group from Blacksburg, sat down in the doorway of the Leatherhous and would not move.
Police arrested the man and had to drag him to the car.
About 20 other demonstrators stood on the curb peacefully holding signs saying leather equals murder and handing out pamphlets.
The owner of Leatherhous says he doesn't mind the protesters.

But the Richmond area's Send-A-Chef restaurant is NOT being welcomed with open arms.
That's because it put "Home of the Ghetto Burger" right on the sign.
Some of the neighbors say it's a put-down, that will hurt efforts to revitalize the area.
