A state official says last year's resurgence was mainly caused by dry weather. Many areas plan to begin spraying for the MOTHS next month.

Lawyers may one day be judging the judges. If a proposal is adopted by the Virginia General Assembly and Supreme Court... ATTORNEYS could have a say in whether judges KEEP their jobs.
The proposal - drafted by a 27-member task force - would have lawyers fill out questionnaires on judges' courtesy, fairness and efficiency among other factors. The judges would get the feedback until the last year of their terms - when legislators would ALSO get the evaluations... before considering whether a judge should be reappointed.
