Storms delayed Woods and Jerry Kelly's tee times for about three hours.
But when play resumed Woods quickly made a move on Kelly. On the fourth hole Tiger chipped in this shot for eagle and he would tie Kelly at 12 under par through four.
Kelly would lose the lead on the same hole when he missed the par putt dropping to 11 under par.
Tiger and Kelly finished nine holes before play was suspended due to darkness. They will resume this morning at 10.
