((The pilots union says regional airline pilots should be treated the same as their big-airline colleagues..and they are tired of waiting.
Captain Paul Lackie, Comair Pilot We've been ignored for three years. Our genuine needs have been ignored. First year pilots at Comair are lucky to bring home 15 thousand dollars a year. But on the first day of the pilot's walkout, Comair managers got a rousing ovation from the regional airline's non-pilot employees who packed the headquarters at Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International airport. Randy Rademacher, President, Comair They want more pay, they want better benefits, they want more respect for what they do, Everybody in this room wants that, I want that. The issue is not, I think, what people want to get, its how fast they want to get there. In addition to higher pay, the Comair pilots want a company-funded retirement plan, more rest time between flights and payment for all the hours they are one the job, not just flying hours. Terisa Estacio /Bridge: Comair carries more than 8 million passengers each year. It serves 95 cities in the United States, Canada, Mexico and the Bahamas. With their flights cancelled, Comair passengers had to find alternative transportation.

They just switched me to a different flight which will get me in at the same time. Its not big deal to me.
Passenger/woman sot:

Its frustrating, but I don't know yet whether I'm angry. It depends on what happens the rest of the day. Both sides say they are willing to negotiate. Comair plans to keep its roughly 4,000 non-pilot employees on the job during this first strike in the company's history. Terisa Estacio, CBS News, Houston.))

Governor Jim Gilmore has a midnight deadline to act on the almost 14-hundred bills the General Assembly passed this winter.

So far, the Governor has signed into law new restrictions on teenage drivers.
They increase the age at which teens can get a learner's permit to age 15 and a half, and increase the time they must hold the permit before they get a license.
The bill also says teens under 17 can't carry more than one teen passenger, and teens under 18 can't drive between midnight and four A-M.
The Governor also signed the 24 hour wait "informed consent" abortion bill into law.
That makes Virginia the 16th state to make women who want abortions talk to doctors and wait a day.
