Comair pilots are on strike and all flights have been cancelled. This after a compromise between the pilots union and the airline could not be reached yesterday. In anticipation of a pilots' strike - the nation's second largest regional airline began canceling flights. It means passengers like Tammy Swedapetre will be getting back to New York hours later than she expected.

Its been a couple of years since Virginia's Health Department made Danville the first city to receive money from the Centers for Disease Control grant - but it's apparently helping. The number of residents suffering from syphilis has dropped nearly 20 percent last year.

A Pearisburg man was shot and killed over the weekend.
Authorities say 31- year- old Timmy Lee Stewart was killed in a shooting incident in Princeton, West Virginia.
No other information is available at this time.

A head on collision in Roanoke County sent two people to the hospital.

Authorities say an eighteen year old was driving down Randall Drive yesterday when he swerved into the other lane causing the collision, near Pitzer Road. The other driver was an elderly man who was taking his dog for a ride. Authorities say the man's brown and white terrier, Snuggles is now missing. Both drivers were taken to Roanoke Memorial with minor injuries.

Police are investigating the shooting death of a Pearisburg man.
