Authorities say 31- year- old Timmy Lee Stewart was killed in a shooting incident over the weekend in Princeton, West Virginia.
No other information is available at this time.

The most lethal car bomb exploded in the market in the town of
Mineralnye Vody...
...timed to go off when the market was busy with early morning shoppers.
A second explosion - also detonated in a booby-trapped car - killed two
police officers in a nearby town...
A third went off almost simultaneously in yet another town outside a
police station.
More than a hundred injured were treated in local hospitals, where
several remain on the critical list.

The towns targeted in the bombings all lie close to Russia's border with
the republic of Chechnya -
where the Russian army has been at war with rebel fighters for almost
two years.
Several suspects have been arrested in connection with the blasts and
Russia's Security Council Chief blames Chechen terrorists.

The Chechen President Aslan Maskhadov denies all responsibility for the

Two people were taken to the hospital following a head on collision in Roanoke County.

Authorities say an eighteen year old was driving down Randall Drive yesterday when he swerved into the other lane causing the collision near Pitzer Road.
The other driver was an elderly man who was taking his dog for a ride.
Authorities say the man's brown and white terrier, Snuggles is now missing.
Both drivers were taken to Roanoke Memorial with minor injuries.

There's good news in Danville's fight against syphilis.
The numbers of residents suffering from the S-T-D dropped nearly 20 percent last year.
The news comes a couple of years after Virginia's Health Department made Danville the first city to receive money from a Centers for Disease Control grant.

Police say 58 boys are dead and 28 others are seriously injured when fire breaks out at a boarding school in Kenya.
The school is located 30 miles southeast of Nairobi.
The blaze occurred in the main dormitory at the secondary school.

The number of Danville residents suffering from syphilis dropped nearly 20 percent last year.
The news comes a couple of years after Virginia's Health Department made Danville the first city to receive money from a Centers for Disease Control grant.

So far in 2001 - Danville no longer has the highest rate of syphilis in the state.
Now Norfolk has that distinction.

((Governor Gilmore is insisting that any new state budget for the next fiscal year include a 70 percent cut in the car tax, as he promised.
The Senate wouldn't go along with that. So, the spending plan approved last year remains in place. And that has less money than many groups say they need.
A viewer from Christiansburg (William Hunter) commented: "Governor 'no car tax' is not only trying to break the state's economy but also tear the state's government apart...I do not like any tax but they do pay for roads, schools, police, fire, rescue and museums to name a few things. If the governor wants to create a third world country then he needs to find another place to destroy...I do thank the news crew at this fine station for bringing us all the coverage of this and many other events."

Authorities say 31- year- old Timmy Lee Stewart was killed a shooting incident over the weekend in Princeton, West Virginia.
