A bomb threat is forcing Amherst County School officials to take extra precautions today.
Authorities say a student found a note in a magazine in the High School's library that said a bomb would go off at eleven -oh -seven this morning.
Police have searched the school, but the building will still be evacauted today from ten forty-five until eleven fifteen as a precaution.

Some fire and ambulance services changes are on the way in Roanoke County.

Yesterday, the supervisors unanimously agreed to begin advertising for 15 additional workers. Under the plan, Mount Pleasant, Bent Mountain and Catawba residents would have Advanced Life Support service five days a week. Other Roanoke County communities would also receive additional workers.

A teenager was killed in a car accident last night, and state police say he wasn't wearing a seat belt.
State Police say Joseph Lee Franklin was at the wheel, when the car left Route 610 in Montgomery County and struck a tree.
His passenger, 16 year old Kristopher L. McFalls of Riner, died at the scene.
There's no word on Franklin's condition.
