Florida's Governor today signed a bill that says the public has no right to see autopsy photos unless a judge orders their release.
Earnhardt's widow led the drive to get the law passed and attended today's signing.

At least 17 people died tonight in a plane crash near the resort town of Aspen Colorado.
The Gulfstream jet crashed into a hill near the airport.
A sheriff's office spokesman says 17 bodies have been recovered though the flight plan says there were 18 people on board.
A Los Angeles television station says the flight took off from Burbank, California.

Authorities suspect that the anti- abortion activist was about to flee from France when he was arrested today.

Deputies arrested four men from West Virginia who they say took thousands of dollars from two local residents with a common hoax.
They promised the residents they'd seal their driveways with "leftover materials"... but did not.

In one other ECHL note - the league announced its all-rookie team yesterday and Roanoke defenseman Jeff Sproat deservedly made the six man team. The unfortunate thing is that since the team is limited to just six players - neither Adam Dewan nor Doug Sheppard were rewarded for their outstanding seasons. Roanoke plays in Richmond tomorrow night, and then plays its final regular season home game Saturday at 7:35 against Wheeling.

New Virginia coach Al Groh will hold his first spring workout tomorrow beginning at 3:55 in Charlottesville.

Yesterday he held a news conference to brief the media on the winter weight training program and to update everyone on the team's progress as spring football begins. Team chemistry isn't the only focus for Groh, he's making sure his staff is on the same page as well.

John Andretti's crew chief, Greg Steadman, was fined $20 thousand dollars today because Andretti's second place car at Bristol was found to be too low during the post race inspection. The car has to be at least 51 inches high - his Dodge was not.
