On redistricting, Roanoke County's Dick Cranwell made a motion to delay three weeks, to allow more public input.
At the same time, Republicans were refiling their plans, this time lumping Cranwell and Chip Woodrum in the same district, as they'd intended to but failed to do on Tuesday.
Republicans say if the Democrats don't like it, why don't they submit their own plans?
Democrats say why bother? They don't have the votes.

After three months on the run, a Roanoke murder suspect is behind bars.
Earl Allen Hale was arraigned on murder, malicious wounding, and firearms charges this morning.

Police captured Hale after Crime Line tips led them to a Petersburg apartment, and then a Richmond bus station, where he was arrested without incident last night.

Maurese Murphy Reynolds told police his own jealousy was the problem. He and his girlfriend who was 19 at the time lived together for about eight months before he moved out of the Northview Apartments. The night of September 13th Reynolds went back with a gun.

He faces four life terms plus 23 years when he's sentenced later.

The Medical Examiner's Office says the Pulaski man found dead in an abandoned coal yard yesterday, died of an injured leg and other possible health conditions.
