A three alarm fire rips through a popular Carroll County restaurant and damages another today.

Around 8:30 this morning, a passerby called the fire department after noticing flames on the roof of the Rio Grande Mexican Restaurant in Hillsville.
Crews from Hillsville, Galax and Cana responded to the blaze which quickly spread to the Family Fish House next door.
There were no injuries and the fire chief said it could have been a lot worse.

The Fish House has both water and smoke damage, the owner estimates it'll take a month to rebuild.
The Fire Chief believes the blaze started in the kitchen of the Mexican Restaurant, it has extensive damage.

A head-on collision between a car and a Botetourt County school bus sent several people to the hospital this morning, but authorities say none of them suffered serious injuries.

It happened on Alternate Route 220 around 8:30 this morning.
State Police say the car initially ran off the right side of the road, but then came back into the northbound lanes, crossed the median and hit the school bus head-on.

State police say both drivers and five students were treated for minor injuries.
Authorities say the 16-year old driver of the car may have blacked out because of a diabetic condition,
He's been charged with reckless driving.

22- students were hurt, seven are in serious condition- two others are in critical condition.
A teacher described the experience as frightening- saying some of the students had skin burns from sliding along the road. Others had cuts and bruises from broken glass on the road.
The accident happened in southern Georgia - The bus flipped over and slid several hundred feet on Interstate 95.
The band had been heading from North Carolina to a competition in Orlando- when the accident happened.

And he's one of 10 Carilion patients who's gone under the knife with the da Vinci Surgical System.

The da Vinci Surgical System was used to perform part of Thomas' heart bypass operation.
The robot was used to collect the mammary artery which is used for the bypass procedure.
Past procedures to gather this artery were much more invasive.

Police will be watching out for Spider-Man in southern California.
They're investigating the theft of four Spider-Man costumes from a Sony Pictures Studio set -- where the movie based on the comic book hero is being filmed. The studio is offering a 25-thousand-dollar reward for the safe return of the costumes.
It says production of the movie, starring Tobey Maguire, won't be delayed -- because there are plenty of extra costumes.
