Today's meeting will be the SECOND such meeting since Sunday's crash.

The Pentagon says it's figured out what caused an Osprey aircraft to crash, killing four Marines.

The controversial aircraft crashed in North Carolina last December.
The Pentagon's report blames the fatal crash on a faulty hydraulic system and computer problems.
Meanwhile, the Marine corps acknowledged it had been aware of the potential hydraulic system problem since 19-99.

The report ALSO said the crew reacted "immediately and correctly" to the in-flight emergency, and was without fault in the accident.
The Osprey fleet has been grounded ever since.

29 year old Earl Allen Hale made his first court appearance in a Roanoke courtroom on felony murder, malicious wounding, and related firearms charges.

A leak actually happened five years ago at Danville's waste water treatment plant.
Then hazmat crews contained a small chlorine leak which caused a small cloud in the sky.
Chlorine is the most dangerous chemical used at that plant.

The executive Director of the state Republican Party says Virginia Democrats have abandoned rural voters on issues including guns, tobacco and abortion.

Taxes may be going up in Bedford County. In order for teachers there to receive a raise, supervisors say they need to increase the real estate tax by 8 cents.

The public commented on the tax hike proposal during a public hearing last night.
If the Supervisors pass the proposal, it will take effect on July first.

29 year old Earl Allen Hale made his first court appearance in a Roanoke courtroom yesterday on felony murder, malicious wounding, and related firearms charges.
Hale is accused of killing 27 year old Charlene Ramsey at an auto detailing company in January. He is currently being held in the Roanoke City jail without bond.

Carilion's Pediatric Dental Clinic is open for business. The clinic is one of the first in the country to to bring the public and private sector together in order to provide underserved children access to dental care. The Executive Director of The American Pediatric Dentistry says if the clinic is successful --it could serve as a national model of what can be accomplished when a community works together.
