As if Ford doesn't have enough problems with its Explorers- Now the compnay is recallling some brand new models.

Ford says the 2002 Ford Explorer and the Mercury Mountaineer have a defect which could cause the rear liftgate glass to shatter.
So far Ford has processed 35 complaints about the problem which they say is caused when brackets supporting the lift-gate loosen causing the glass to break.
Dealers will pick up the affected vehicles, provide the customer with a loaner vehicle while repairs are made and and return the SUVs with a full tank of gas.
The Ford Explorer has been the nation's top-selling SUV for 11 years,

"Remembering the Titans" won't be very difficult for Roanoke Valley residents once the new Hidden Valley High school opens in the fall of 2002. The new south Roanoke County high school has selected "Titans" as its nickname.

Rap star Eminem will not face jail time for carrying a concealed weapon.

The Grammy winning rap star was sentenced to two years probation. The charges came after Eminem allegedly pistol-whipped a man he saw kissing his now -estranged wife Kim Mathers at a nightclub back in June.
Prosecutors in Michigan wanted him to serve between four and six months in prison.
But the judge ruled otherwise saying Eminem must avoid excessive use of alcohol and he cannot use non-prescription controlled substances.

Now a new solution is approved in South Africa that can be used in place of blood transfusions.
South Africa is the first nation to approve a blood substitute.
The solution is called hemopure- it acts like red blood cells- carrying oxygen to the body's tissues.
The company that distributes the product- Netcare says the blood substitute can be used with patients of any blood type and would eliminate the risk of catching infectious diseases from tainted transfusions.

Common signs of arthritis include: limping and stiffness, reluctance to climb stairs, lagging behind on walks, personality change, worsening signs in cold or wet weather, and repeated licking of a joint.
Doctor Farrell says the best prevention is to make sure your animal is not overweight and gets regular exercise.
But if your dog does develop arthritis there are drugs that can help minimize the pain and inflammation, and taking medication has made all the difference for Riajin (Rye-Gin)
