Good Afternoon, I'm Kimberly McBroom.
The crew members' plane is expected to touch down in Hawaii within the half hour.
Before departing on the eight- hour flight from Guam, the 24 servicemen and women phoned family and friends back home.
They'll spend two days in military briefings before heading to their base in Washington State for an official welcome home ceremony.
Meanwhile, the Bush administration says it will continue surveillance flights over China.
Officials say despite the stand-off situation, the flights are important to U-S security.
Chris Lawrence has been following the story all morning and has the latest now from Hawaii.

THE SMILES AND THE WAVES SAID IT ALL.. AFTER A HOT MEAL AND A CHANGE OF
CLOTHES, THE 24 CREW MEMBERS OF THE U.S. SPY PLANE LEFT THE ISLAND OF
GUAM EARLIER TODAY -- ON THEIR WAY TO HAWAII -- TO ANSWER MORE
QUESTIONS ABOUT THEIR MID-AIR COLLISION WITH A CHINESE FIGHTER JET.
AFTER BEING HELD FOR 12 DAYS IN CHINA... THE QUICK STOP IN GUAM GAVE
THEM A CHANCE TO PHONE LOVED ONES.
(SOT: DIANE OSBOURNE/MOTHER OF CREW MEMBER )
THEY WERE RELEASED SOON AFTER PRESIDENT BUSH SENT A LETTER TO THE
CHINESE GOVERNMENT ... STATING THAT THE U.S. WAS VERY SORRY FOR THE LOSS
OF THE CHINESE PILOT, AND THE UNAUTHORIZED LANDING OF THE AMERICAN
PLANE.

"If you look at the context it's very clear that there is no link of the
words very sorry to the incident, to our reconnosaince flights or
anything of the sort."
THE BUSH ADMINISTRATION SAYS THERE ARE STILL MANY ISSUES LEFT TO RESOLVE
WHEN THE TWO SIDES MEET NEXT WEEK. AT THE TOP OF THAT LIST, THE RETURN
OF THE DAMAGED SPY PLANE.
BUT RIGHT NOW ALL EYES ARE ON THE SERVICE MEN AND WOMEN who SHARED THEIR
HARROWING EXPERIENCE ... WITH THE AIRLINE CREW WHO FLEW THEM BACK TO
U.S. SOIL.

"The Lt. Cm. on board was the one that got them safely to the ground.
He's a very big man and he said it took all of his bulk to control the
aircraft to get it safely on the ground."

Well, some believe it's because you're born with a certain personality type.
And there is a test that dates back to Pre-World War II, that's been used to help people figure out what type they are.
Health Check Reporter Joy Sutton is here to tell us more.
