State officials are continuing efforts to revoke the license of a home for adults in Botetourt County.

The Department of Social Services first threatened to revoke Mountain View Two's license last year. The state said the adult home failed to report the sexual abuse of three residents by a staff member. Officials say another inspection in February revealed more violations. Social Services is scheduling an administrative hearing to determine the fate of the facility.

Police used tear gas and knee-knockers to stop a riot on the Ohio State University campus overnight.

About two-thousand people, most of them partygoers, were involved in the disturbance. The riot lasted about two hours and briefly spread onto the campus before campus police helped bring it under control.
Several people were arrested. The riot is being blamed on a combination of alcohol and warm weather.

A rescue team is headed to the South Pole to evacuate an American doctor with a potentially fatal condition.

Officials say a fire at a home in Roanoke was sparked by a gas grill.

Crews responded to the 47-hundred block of Northridge road. Fire officials say the family was grilling on the deck, went inside and then heard an explosion. Nobody was injured in the fire. Officials say the damage was minor, and confined mainly to the attic and an interior wall.

In Vinton... Fire destroyed an R-V and damaged nearby vehicles before fire fighters could put out the flames. Fire crews responded to the blaze about 12-thirty this afternoon. Flames scalded nearby vehicles, and it took firefighters about 10 minutes to put out the blaze. No one was injured, officials say the fire started in the R-V's fuel line.

A disagreement between two neighbors has ended in a shooting that sent one person to the Hospital. Botetourt county authorities say 39 year old Ricky Lee Stout was shot in the head after an argument with Bradley Calvin Murphy.
Officials say Stout had borrowed Murphy's truck and wrecked it,--- then Murphy followed

Stout to the "It's a Wonderful Life Campground" and shot Stout in the head. Murphy is being held without bond on malicious wounding and firearms charges.

Stout is listed in stable condition at Roanoke Memorial Hospital.

Noel led the White team to 10 points on 13 of 32 passing for 112 yards and one TD.
Jason Davis fumbled an early snap and had three interceptions, but he compiled 117 yards on an eight for 17 day passing.
Keith Burnell capped a great spring season with an impressive game. Burnell led the Maroon to a 24-10 victory with 183 yards rushing and a touchdown.
The QB question is still unanswered but Coach Frank Beamer says his staff will discuss it Monday.
