Here's how it will work. Forest Middle School students will get out three weeks early on May 16th. Then the high school students will go to class at the middle school from May 21 through June 8th. And SOL testing will take place between May 19 and June 1st.

Police believe they've solved the murder at a Danville motel overnight.

Officers found the body of 43 year old John Fenton Langley in a motel room.
He had head injuries.

Police say Joseph Lockhart was travelling northbound on Route 2-21 in July of 19-98 , when his car left the roadway at Bent Mountain, and plunged some 800 feet down a mountainside. There would be a 50 percent phase out for those worth more than 48 hundred but less than 20 thousand.
And folks with vehicles worth more than 20 thousand dollars would have to pay the full tax.

The changes would cut taxes by about a billion dollars annually, but still fund a three- and- a- half percent pay raise for state employees.

Virginia Tech is losing an important component responsible for the Hokies' success in women's basketball.
Assistant coach Joe Mathews is moving on to become the Head Coach at Towson University.
Mathews has been with Tech for four years.

In Mathews four years at Tech the Hokies are 92-33 and have gone to the N-C-Double-A Tournament three times.

Last year the Roanoke restaurant raised more then 4-thousand dollars.
