Construction on the parking garage near Roanoke Memorial... and the Carilion Biomedical Institute Building on Jefferson Street could be under way within two years.
The project could eventually displace more than 30 businesses, and require an investment of 175 million dollars over fifteen years... but city officials say it will bring in new industry and high-tech jobs, and help secure the region's economic future.
