((
This...is war. That from a top Israeli official, as his country launched a second volley of air raids...in as many days. F-16s and Apache helicopter gunships made rubble out of Palestinian Authority security buildings in Gaza and the West Bank.
This came after Friday's Palestinian suicide bombing of an Israeli shopping mall. Six people died in that attack, including the bomber, militant Hamas activist, Mahmoud Ahmed Marmash. In a video he left behind, the twenty-year-old called his act, vengeance, for every drop of blood that has fallen on Palestinian land.
Arab foreign ministers meeting in Cairo recommended vengeance of a diplomatic kind: severing political contacts with Israel, until the military assaults cease.

"I believe it is the responsibility of the international community to protect the civilian population from the bombardment by the bombers and by the tanks and rockets.'
