The names of the men were called out and a memorial bell was rung after each name.
Last year a statue was dedicated to them.

A Montgomery County adult nightclub is closing shop as part of a plea agreement.

The closure stems from a raid at Juicie's Exotic Cabaret in Plum Creek back in January.
Managers and employees were charged with violating state alcohol laws as well as the county's nudity ordinance.

Under the agreement, the state has agreed to suspend a 75- hundred dollar fine as long as the company opens no business in Montgomery County that includes nude performances.

This years Local Colors Multicultural Festival drew an estimated crowd of 25 - to 30-thousand people over the weekend.

Organizers estimate more than ten thousand people showed up for the three day event.
The festival wrapped up yesterday with a free concert by Ricky Van Shelton.
The country music star was born in Danville and grew up in Pittsylvania County.
Shelton says performing in Southside was not only special for him but also his fans.

Officials say bad weather caused a train derailment near Bluefield that spilled nearly a thousand gallons of diesel fuel.
The train was moving 164- empty coal cars between Roanoke and Bluefield when the train derailed Saturday afternoon.
Local fire officials say heavy rain dislodged a rock from a wall... which landed on the tracks.
No one was injured.
