Israelis are accustomed to tragedy...but not like this. Shock...panic...horror. Those left behind searched for loved ones. No one knew where to go, or how to help. One woman who fell to the bottom of this pit...said she had to step on those beneath her to get out. Among the dead, rescuers found a man and woman, holding each other. The blame may rest with builders who cut corners - removing support columns to enlarge a hall on the floor below. The bride and groom survived. Dozens of their guests are still missing. Rescuers will keep searching, hoping for a miracle of a wedding gift: finding someone else alive. Kimberly Dozier, CBS News, London.))

"Yes there will be an effect because of gas prices and a slowing economy but at the same time our survey is also saying plans are still going forward."
In the Northeast, one Philadelphia gas station helped drivers start those plans off on the right foot....with gas at only 99 cents a gallon.

Most/SOT:

But for the most part drivers have had to just grin and bear the prices at the pumps.
This a holiday when travellers traditionally keep their feet on the ground. It's not a big day for the air lines. Folks at one of the nation's busiest airports .. Reagan National ... enjoyed a hassle free start to their weekend.
MOS/Sot:
So while the skies may be friendly this holiday weekend.. it seems that most have decided to bite the bullet at the pumps in the hope that the holiday at the end of the road.. will be worth the price.
