((From a 21-gun salute aboard the U-S-S Constitution in Boston to a parade in Philadelphia Memorial Day was marked by celebrations across the country. In Washington, President Bush honored Americas veterans by signing a law that clears the way for construction of a World War Two Memorial. It will go up between the Washington Monument and Lincoln Memorial. President Bush: Not only will I sign the bill, I will make sure the monument gets built. While many veterans fought hard for the Memorial and say its construction is long overdue, critics argue the structure will clutter the Mall and get in the way of incredible views. Gretchen Carlson Reporting But the controversy about the Memorial in Washington isnt stopping people from remembering the true meaning of Memorial Day. This holiday weekend sailors from the Navy are docked here in New York City honoring those who served before them. At least one person is dead and several others were injured in several car crashes just before seven this morning.


Florida highway patrol closed both the east and westbound lanes of I-4 indefinitely while troopers try to figure out what happened.
