Two members of his defense team will meet with him at a federal prison in Indiana.
McVeigh is to receive a lethal injection for the 1995 bombing that killed 168 people.
Attorney General John Ashcroft says the government will fight any delay in McVeigh's execution.
The date was postponed once already because of the F-B-I's withholding of documents in the case.

Nine people have been rescued off of Washington state's Mount Rainier, after an avalanche stranded them.

A break in bad weather allowed a helicopter to swoop in and pluck four climbers and five rangers off the peak.
Officials say they're all doing fine.
An avalanche had swept away part of the climbers' gear, leaving them stranded near the peak.
The group called for help Monday evening and on Tuesday, a military helicopter lowered a rescue crew, who then became trapped by whiteout conditions.

According to published reports, Carilion Health System has acknowledged a space crunch.
So yesterday, it announced a 70 million dollar improvement package that includes a seven story addition to Roanoke Memorial Hospital.
It will contain 50 intensive care beds and nearly 100 other critical care beds.
Changes are also in store for Roanoke Community Hospital.
Among them is a new urgent care center.

A construction worker was taken to the hospital following an accident in Henry County.

It happened just after seven o'clock yesterday morning on Summit Road.
State Police say George Woodson was crossing the road when he was hit by a car driven by Toni Evyonne Craig of Martinsville.
Work crews had been re-paving the road at the time of the accident.
The victim was taken to Martinsville Memorial Hospital complaining of shoulder pain.
He was then transported to UVA where he has since been released.
State Police say the driver will not face any charges.

The 8-0-4 area code in Southside and Central Virginia is being replaced.
Residents can begin using the new 4-3-4 area code beginning this Friday.
However, they'll have a seven month grace period where they can dial either 8-0-4 or 4-3-4.
The new 434 area code becomes mandatory January 15th of next year.

A play called "Bedford Goes To War" will be performed at the Sedalia Center in Bedford County beginning Friday night.
The historical drama was written by a local man who conducted research and interviews to tell the community's story of sacrifice through fictional characters.
Tickets are five dollars... with performances scheduled for Friday and Saturday at eight pm... and Sunday at three.
