State police are looking for three women who stopped to help an injured trooper near Troutville today.
A police spokesman says the women made sure the officer was O-K and prayed with him before driving off.
The trooper was hurt when he lost control of his patrol car during a high-speed pursuit on Interstate-81 this morning.
Police say he was following a tractor trailor when another tractor trailor pushed him off the road.
Authoriites say the women stopped shortly afterward.
The trooper is currently in stable condition at a Roanoke Hospital.

(( A Patriotic start to the Festival Run proved to be the calm before a deceptive humidity storm as more than 400 runners pounded the pavement. By the time the field crested Jefferson and rolled by Victory Stadium the overall 5 and 10 k winners already had put themselves in position for wins. And as the fields split at Roanoke Memorial Tommy Maguire found himself chasing his own shadow.
The Northside graduate, who just completed his four years of eligibility at Radford University had very little competition as won the men's 5k event in a time of 16 minutes and 5 seconds.

While Maguire was a first time victor, the women's 5k champ was a repeal offender. Blacksburg's Roxann Polo Reasor won her 4th straight Festival Classic title in a time if 20 minute and one second.

Former Virginia Tech defensive end Corey Moore was shot in the leg Friday night in his hometown of Brownsville, Tennessee.

Moore, a linebacker for the Buffalo Bills, was stopped at an intersection in his Ford Expedition when an unknown assailant walked up to the car and shot him.
Moore drove himself to the hospital where he was treated and released. No arrests have been made in the shooting.

The Hershey's Kissmobile is on a nation- wide tour to raise money for the Children's Miracle Network, to help needy children.
The giant kiss shaped mobile, and its chocolate clad staff greeted people at a hospital in Springfield.
The message: every kid deserves hugs and kisses, and not just the Hershey's kind.
