Marlow wore an ankle band that normally alerts staff when Alzheimers patients try to leave the building.
Employees don't know why an alarm did NOT sound when he left.

Memorial staff members estimate that at least 14-thousand people came out this Sunday.
Thousands wanted to take advantage of the final weekend of free parking at the site.
Beginning Tuesday, visitors will have to pay 10 dollars for a year-long parking pass.
In just the four days following the dedication ceremony, 41-thousand people visited the memorial.

Today-- one thousand roses attached with personal messages were placed at the memorial as part of the Annual Father's Day Rose Remembrance. The messages recognized the fathers who didn't see their children grow up and the young men who never had the chance to be fathers. Nearly four and a half million people visit the memorial each year.

A Roanoke woman shot in the back during an apparent domestic dispute remains hospitalized.

The 34- year old woman was shot yesterday afternoon in a room at the Jefferson Lodge Motel in Roanoke. Police have not released the woman's name but say she remains in stable condition. Her boyfriend has been charged with malicious wounding.

A 124- year old law may mean a Virginia woman will lose her business. 61 year-old Darlene Davis runs a day care in her home which she's shared with her boyfriend for the past 16 years. But Davis' business license expires next month - so state licensing officials are checking to see whether she is in violation of an 1877 law that prohibits cohabitation... or living with a boyfriend or girlfriend. If she is found to be in violation -- she may not get her license renewed. Davis has managed to avoid the problem in previous years by listing her boyfriend as a boarder or roommate.

Health care providers are trying to answer a puzzling question. They want to know why residents in southwest Virginia are dying from heart attacks, diabetes and suicide at a faster rate than the rest of the state. The Graduate Medical Education Consortium has sent out forms to area residents in hopes of solving the medical mystery. The information will be shared with the General Assembly, area physicians and others in the health care industry.

The Sons of Confederate Veterans are upset by efforts to take the confederate flag off state capitols. They also want West Virginia to allow them a vanity license plate. It took Ricky Rudd 89 races to get back to victory lane. He did it today taking the checkered flag in the Pocono 500.

Jeff Gordon would take off like a bullet on the green flag and he was leading the race with 165 laps to go.
Then 25 laps later Brett Bodine gets lose going over the tunnel turn causing a 14 car crash that collected Ward Burton Steve Park and 12 other drivers bringing out the caution.
Dale Jarrett, who dropped to second in the points behind Gordon, would battle the Rainbow Warrior for the lead with 138 to go but Gordon was too strong.
Jeff Burton was making a charge to the front running in the fifth spot with 97 laps to go in the race.
Rudd passed his teammate Dale Jarrett with 42 laps to go and he holds on to win the Pocono 500 Winston Cup race from the pole.

Now it's off to Tuesday's All Star game in California for first baseman Garrett Atkins, outfielder Dan Phillips and pitcher Cory Vance.
For Atkins and Phillips it's a trip home and a chance to visit dad for Father's Day.

Singh finished his final round with a 64 to finish the U.S. Open at 2 over par.
Tiger Woods got his score down to 2 over with 2 straight birdies on the front nine he finished at 3 over.
