Mark Warner's campaign says he's keeping the 5-THOUSAND dollar donation from Norfolk business man George Roper the Second. Roper was convicted of bribery and government fraud in 1974.

The Earley camp says Warner needs to keep a closer eye on his funds than theirs. Earlier this month - Earley returned a donation from a company Democrats charged had ties to the Internet porn industry.

Troopers are taking some extra precautions to ensure safety this week.

800- new laws the General Assembly passed during the 2001 session go into effect tomorrow.

One that has teenagers and parents talking is the driving bill. As of July first teens will have to wait six extra months to receive a learners permit and driver's license. Teens will now have to be 15 and a half for a permit and 16 and a half for a license. Drivers under 17 will only be allowed one passenger under 18 unless the passenger is a family member. And a new curfew has been set for drivers under the age of 18, no driving between midnight and 4 a-m unless you're going to or from work or school. We'll have reaction from teens on the new rules tomorrow on News7 at 6.
