She was one of four teens seriously hurt when a Virginia Heights Baptist Church van overturned several times on U-S 220 south of Greensboro.
Lewis had been in critical condition ever since, and Reverend Nelson Harris says he got the news late yesterday afternoon.
Three other teenagers are still in North Carolina hospitals.
They were returning from Myrtle Beach to Roanoke, as part of a youth activity sponsored by her Church.
