Lee Summerlin was released this morning from Coyner Springs Detention Center .. where he had been held since Friday night.
That's the night police in Franklin County found him along with his father, Dewy Lee Summerlin, and Jennifer Barker .. ending a search that lasted more than a week.

The sale of the Roanoke Express should be finalized tomorrow, and it appears that the team will stay in Roanoke with a brand new local ownership group. Ashby Coleman, who is leading the local effort to buy the team and keep it in the Star City told News 7 Sports he is quote "very confident" his group's offer to buy the team will be officially accepted. He also is confident his group can pump new life into the franchise.

The Bowl Championship Series is being tweaked for next season. The big change is that "Blowout" wins will no longer carry as much weight as quality wins will in the eyes of the BCS computers. The Washington Caps' sister team the the Washington Wizards is also making moves off the playing surface. Top draft pick Kwame Brown was signed to his first contract today. The three year deal is worth $12 million bucks.

The Mariners Landing at Smith Mountain Lake is hosting some of the top junior golfers in the state for the 11-th annual Andrew Haley tournament this week.
