Lee Summerlin was released this morning from Coyner Springs Detention Center .. where he had been held since Friday night.
That's the night police in Franklin County found him along with his father, Dewy Lee Summerlin, and Jennifer Barker .. ending a search that lasted more than a week.

Friends and co-workers of 22 year old Ryan Fisher are mourning his death today.

That stems from claims by a flight attendant who says she had an affair with Condit and was told not to about it.

The hunt for Antoine Sherard Scott started yesterday when the Blacksburg resident led police on a high speed chase down Jenelle Road. The 23-year-old is wanted for violation of probation on felony convictions. After Scott crashed his car, he was tracked in the surrounding woods by foot, dogs and a helicopter. He was spotted around 6 p-m but managed to elude police once again.

The Avs had to do so without star Matt Holliday. The 21 year old outfielder who was placed on the disabled list on Tuesday found out today that he will miss the rest of the season. Holliday has a torn ligament in right elbow which will require that he undergo surgery to repair it. He was the Carolina League player of the month in June.

The sale of the Roanoke Express should be finalized tomorrow, and it appears that the team will stay in Roanoke with a brand new local ownership group. Ashby Coleman, who is leading the local effort to buy the team and keep it in the Star City told News 7 Sports he is quote "very confident" his group's offer to buy the team will be officially accepted. He also is confident his group can pump new life into the franchise.
