Officials are still looking for the driver of a car that crashed yesterday after a high speed chase near Blacksburg. Authorities say the man fled the accident on foot. Teresa Hamilton has more from Montgomery County.

(( Authorities began their search for Antoine Sherard Scott after he led police on a high speed chase. Sheriff's officials were trying to arrest the 23- year old on a probation violation when Scott fled and eventually crashed his Mustang on Jennelle Road, just outside Blacksburg. Several hours later a helicopter was brought in to aid in the search after Scott was spotted walking on nearby Ellett Road but once again he got away.

Preventing prescription drug abuse is on the minds of Pulaski police - And they are hoping a new tool called Authentiprint will help. Pharmacists will fingerprint customers when they pick up certain prescriptions.
Jennifer Miele explains.

Authentiprint uses invisible ink and chemically treated paper to provide pharmacists with instant fingerprints. That way, if there's any question of fraud, prints will be on file.

Those responsible for saving live every day in Campbell County feel their own lives are at risk because of the county's mobile radio system. They have been complaining about the system for years and last night they aired the concerns with county officials.

Every time they respond to an emergency call, a volunteer's lifeline is their ability to communicate with dispatchers and each other, but too often they say, their radios are failing them.

The problem is not a new one.. some feel the county made a mistake when it opted not to join Lynchburg and surrounding counties on a more high-tech regional radio system in 1996.
