It's an effort to crack down on prescription fraud: the abuse of otherwise legal narcotics -- especially the painkiller OxyContin.

State health officials say a salmonella outbreak in the Lynchburg area appears to be under control.
25 cases of food-borne bacteria have been linked to one local restaurant, but the Health Department will not release its name, telling us no one has reported getting sick in more than two weeks.
Health officials say the restaurant's operator has restricted all infected employees from handling food .. and has disinfected preparation areas.
The specific source of the outbreak has not been identified.

The Henry County Sheriff's Department is investigating what it calls a suspicious death.
The probe started when 46-year old Jeffery Alan Ramsey of Ridgeway died Tuesday at Martinsville Memorial Hospital.
Investigators believe Ramsey may have been involved in an altercation at his home before he died.
His body has been sent to a medical examiner, and deputies have questioned at least one person.
