State police say it happened about 2:30 this afternoon at mile marker 55 near Bastian.
Police say a car from West Virginia heading south- crossed the median and hit a car from Ohio.
That car then hit a tractor-trailer, which overturned.
The car from West Virginia caught fire; the four people inside were burned beyond recognition.

Alexander Hudson was 14 when he was arrested for the robbery and murder of a Rocky Mount man.
Authorities say Hudson and two friends strangled 61-year-old Ralph English in his bed with a boot lace and stole about 6-thousand dollars.
Hudson's attorneys sought to have the case dismissed, saying he'd been detained for more than five months without trial.
But the judge ruled against them, saying they agreed to the trial date.
