((Ira Einhorn's luck finally ran out as French police led him from his home.
Earlier the European Court of Human rights cleared the way for him to come back to the United States to stand trial a second time.

The difference this time is--Einhorn WILL be in the courtroom.
Einhorn was convicted in absentia for the 1977 bludgeoning death of his girlfriend Holly Maddux. Her body was found in a trunk in their Philadelphia apartment.
The former anti-war activist sought refuge in France--a country that usually refuses to extradite prisoners who could face capital punishment.
But with a new Pennsylvania law and a government promise that Einhorn would not get the death penalty--France agreed to send him back.
I WILL BE HAPPY TO GO TO THE UNITED STATES IF A COURT GIVES ME A NEW TRIAL. C'EST TOUT (THAT'S ALL) THANK YOU."
Last week after losing his final French appeal Einhorn slit his throat in protest. He called it a suicide attempt--doctors said he wasn't seriously injured.
And when a human rights court decided he was medically fit--it dropped its request to keep him in France.
Holly Maddux family said they are ready to see Einhorn back in the United States wearing handcuffs.

After deliberating nearly four hours, a Franklin County jury decided to call it a night.

The jury is deciding the fate of 15-Year old Alexander Hudson.
He's charged with capital murder in the death of a 61-year old Rocky Mount man.
Prosecutors say Hudson and his cousin Christopher Dorman and Charlie English used a shoelace to stangle the victim to death on New Years Eve.
The trio then allegedly took more than six thousand dollars from the man and used it to buy clothes.
Defense attornies say although Hudson used the money, he was just a lookout while the other two committed the murder.
The jury will resume deliberations tomorrow morning.

That's where they found the body of a missing Martinsville woman four weeks ago.

Gebel-Williams wowed audiences with his ability to control fierce animals.

His son will follow his father's footsteps, starring in the 131st edition of the Ringling Brothers and Barnum and Bailey Circus.

As a result of her death and a subsequent investigation of about 60 other trials the government issued a harsh 12 page letter to the hospital citing numerous violations of research protocol....among them:
"the informed consent document failed to indicate that inhaled hexamethonium was experimental and not approved by the FDA" and as a result of the broader investigation the letter concludes: ..."all federally supported research projects...must be suspended"
The ruling is a huge blow to Johns Hopkins which leads the nation in federally funded reserach projects. The hospital today called the government's action draconian...and the suspension of funding: "unwarranted..unnecessary...paralysizing and precipitous in action" ))
