South Boston Police arrested Thomas Cole Junior Sunday after officers observed two suspicious vehicles on Dan River Church Road.
In the car, police found weapons and ingredients used to make meth- amphetamines.

For example, Danville has a Melrose Drive, a Melrose Place, and a Melrose Street.
Some streets are one with two different names. (Seminole and Forestdale)
Then there's the house numbers that are out of sequence.
On this road, house numbers go from the 800's to 900's, back to 800's.

The German edition of Marie Claire quoted Pitt responding to a question about children- saying "Number one is already on the way."
The story's writer says she was Mis-translated- She says Pitt said he'll have children whenever it's right.
Publicists for both Pitt and Aniston deny the actress is pregnant. Aniston is 32. Pitt is 37... The two were married nearly a year ago.

In the Twin Cities the Twins took on the Mariners as Seattle looked to complete a four game sweep. Ichiro Suzuki get the eventual game winning hit in Seattle's 3-to-2 win over the Twins as he bounces one up the middle and plates Carlos Guillen in the 5th. The Twins did keep it close though. Watch the play in center field as Tory Hunter chases down Bret Boone's blast and makes the grab. The M's win it 3-to-2.

The preseason ACC football poll is out and not surprisingly Florida State is picked at the top of the list. The media has picked the Noles to win the title for the 10th straight year. Ga. Tech is second, Clemson third, NC State fourth and UVa, in its first year under Al Groh, is picked to finish 5th.

The VMI Keydets are staying put in the Southern Conference - at least for now. Yesterday athletic director Donny White announced that the school will continue to study the possibility of leaving the Southern and joining the Big South Conference, but that no decision will be made until the end of the fall sports season. VMI has been in the Southern Conference for 77 years - but recently competing, especially in football has been difficult at best.
