Police are looking for the driver of a car that hit a child yesterday in Roanoke.

Police say a ten- year- old boy was hit on Day Avenue around five- thirty yesterday. But the driver did not stop. Police are searching for a small brown or gold colored car. The child was taken to a Roanoke hospital but a police spokesperson did NOT know the boy's name or condition.

A man suspected of murder in Southside turned himself in to police.
Lawrence Maurice Watson was wanted for first degree murder in the death of Kimberly Ann Martin.
South Boston police are still not saying how she died.
They're waiting for an autopsy report that could take several weeks.

A Moneta woman is being charged with involuntary manslaughter after a domestic dispute last week.
Police say 30-year old Sandra Eggleston hit 56-year old Jimmie English in the chest during an argument, knocking her to the ground.
