Authorities now say an electric water heater is to blame for an explosion that rocked a shopping center near Seattle.

A pressure valve on the heater was apparently capped... the heater exploded.. rocketing through the building's roof and landing in a Pizza Hut parking lot.
Four people were hurt. One woman had second-degree burns to her arm and possible internal injuries.

It happened at the (CAN-aby) Canobie Lake Amusement park in New Hampshire.
One roller coaster rear-ended another.
Apparently one coaster started up the first hill as the second train entered the loading platform.
The second train was supposed to stop and unload.. but instead it kept on going.. hitting the other train halfway up the hill.
Four men and a boy were hurt.. all with minor injuries.

Sanders, who is now 33 years old, has reached a settlement with the Redskins and will officially file retirement papers with the league next week. PrimeTime managed to work out a nice settlement with the Redskins. He will get all but $500 thousand of $8 million dollar signing bonus he agreed to last year. Sanders is a 7 time pro bowler, but the Redskins never got their money's worth out of him last season. He was scheduled to report to training camp on Sunday night, but instead he has now quit the Skins and quit baseball. He cleaned out his minor league locker Thursday night.

The Roanoke Express signed its first ever Eskimo yesterday by inking Terence Tootoo. The five foot eight, 185 pound Tootoo is from the Arctic Coast of Hudson Bay in Northern Canada. Perry Florio had a tough time tracking him down this summer because he was on a whaling trip.

A researcher says it's the largest skull of a land animal ever found.

In fact, it's so big a Montana Army National Guard helicopter was needed to remove the giant dinosaur skull.
It was discovered in rugged terrain near Winnett (WIN'-it), Montana.
The Winnett skull is that of a torosaurus (toura-SOAR-us) a horned dinosaur that scientists believe lived 65 to 67 million years ago.
