Tonight, officials talked of fine-tuning their efforts... and calling on corporate executives who've retired at Smith Mountain Lake to help with recruitment.

Two teenage girls are missing from the Presbyterian Children's home in Wytheville.
Wytheville Police say the two were last seen yesterday morning.

Riffe has blonde hair and blue eyes and was last seen wearing a yellow shirt and shorts.

Governor Jim Gilmore got a birds-eye view of flood damage in Southwest Virginia earlier today.

A state helicopter took the governor over Scott and Wise Counties.
He also got a closer look from the ground.
One man was killed and many others left homeless when heavy rains forced streams and creeks out of their banks.
The governor has sent in National Guard troops and promises that more help is on the way.

Medical authorities say an oxygen tank was left in the wrong room at Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla.
The MRI machines 10-ton electromagnet pulled in the tan... The magnetized tank flew through the air and struck the boy in the head fracturing his skull.
The boy who had undergone surgery before the MRI was sedated when he was struck.

Glenn Dexter Powell had slept behind the garage of his in-laws home- -waiting for his mother in law to leave for work, according to the prosecutor.
Around 7:30 the morning of November 16 last year, Powell allegedly entered the house armed with a 9-millimeter pistol. He threatened to kill Kimberly Powell, then took her and the three children at gunpoint.

After more than 60 trips out of his pen, Keiko appears reluctant to rejoin the killer whale pods near his home.
While Kieko has made great strides integrating with other killer whales since last year, he still dives below the monitoring boat as if to try to protect his "human" pod.
Keiko's been in captivity since 1979- when he was two years old. (------------)
