Its been one week since Betty Jo McNeil disappeared without a trace.
Her husband reported her missing five hours after she failed to return from an errand last Monday.

We do know she was driving a white four door Dodge Spirit.
Part of the grille is missing from the car, and the windshield has a crack across it.
Friends have searched on foot and horseback fearing Betty Jo may have had an accident.

Danville area Democrats will select their candidate for Delegate tonight, and they'll have four people to choose from.
That's how many Democrats have filed .. to fill the 14th House District seat. They're hoping to succeed Whitt Clement, who announced last week he would not seek re-election.

Governor Jim Gilmore will outline the state's revenue picture to the General Assembly's money committees this morning.

A bomb has killed five people at an outdoor market in Southern Russia.
About 30 others were hurt in the blast.

Officials believe the blast was caused by a device consisting of a bottle packed with 200 grams of an explosive substance.
The bomb went off in a dustbin at the entrance to the market.
No one has claimed responsibility for the attack.
But officials believe it was either a terrorist attack or an act by a local gang.
They're still searching for clues.

Investigators have a difficult, and gruesome, case on their hands in Nelson County.
They were called to a home in Afton on Saturday, where fire destroyed three cars.
A body was inside one of those cars, and it was so badly burned that authorities cannot even determine if it was a man or a woman.
Police say with so little known at this point, they do not yet have any suspects.

State police say 16 year old Amy Lynn Ives of Roanoke was at the wheel .. along route one-22 .. when she turned left and into the path of an oncoming pickup truck.
Ives died Saturday evening at Roanoke Memorial Hospital. No one else involved had any life-threatening injuries.

Space shuttle Discovery is scheduled to undock from the space station today, and return to Earth on Wednesday.
At the top of the crew's agenda yesterday was to finish packing an Italian- made module named Leonardo with trash and used equipment for the trip home.
Discovery will bring back the space station crew members who lived in orbit for five months.
Taking their place will be three new residents, who will stay there until at least December.

In light of the recent shark attacks on the other side of the country, fishermen in Marina Del Rey showed off their newest catch-- three deadly Mako sharks.
Their size is not nearly as worse as their bite, which is rumored to rival that of a Great White.
The catch was a good reward for the fishermen, although sharks would probably argue they're just protecting their own ocean turf.

Wal-Mart has teamed up with Q-99 and Pepsi to pack a bus full of supplies to give to families who can't afford everything on their children's back-to-school shopping list.
Target stores donate a portion of each credit card purchase to local schools.

Danville area Democrats will meet tonight to select their candidate for Delegate.
Four Democrats have filed to fill the 14th House District seat. They're hoping to succeed Whitt Clement, who announced last week he would not seek re-election.
Whoever is chosen will face Republican candidate Danny Marshall in November.

Authorities are still investigating the disappearance of a Botetourt County woman.
Its been one week since Betty Jo McNeil disappeared without a trace. Authorities say there's no evidence of foul play and no indication she ran away.

Thousands of people turned out for the annual Old Time Bluegrass Festival and competition in Vinton over the weekend.

The four-day event wrapped up yesterday with several bands playing bluegrass and gospel music.
More than 30 groups competed this weekend for prize money that added up to nearly two thousand dollars.
