Good Afternoon, I'm Kimberly McBroom.
In a conference call with race promoters for the weekly racing series this morning, NASCAR said today's report would be one of the most important announcements in its history.
Stephanie Carroll with the New River Valley Speedway says the racing body has indicated a failure of an in- car restraint system, never before seen in any type of racing, contributed to Earnhardt's death.
CBS' Bobbi Harley has more.
